Original County Borough of Burnley Police Form of Application with Conditions of Service, as issued to Francis Hill, who joined as a Police Constable on 19th August 1913. With original wallet. Hill was subsequently killed in action during the Great War as a Corporal with the 3rd Battalion, Coldstream Guards on 21st October 1914.

Condition: Good Condition.

Francis Hill originally joined as a Constable (No.97) the Burnley Police in Lancashire on 19th August 1913 when living at 92 Buersil Avenue, Rochdale, and having previously worked as a cotton operative. He later saw service during the Great War as a Corporal (No.5169) with the 3rd Battalion, Coldstream Guards and was killed in action on 21st October 1914.
