Order of British India recipients 1914 Star awarded to Subedar Hazrat Gul, 1st Battalion, 55th Coke’s Rifles Frontier Force who was commissioned in the field as a Jemadar on 8th March 1915 and subsequently mentioned in despatches in the London Gazette of 18th June 1915. He would later be awarded the Order of British India, Second Class whilst serving as a Subedar Major of the Kurram Militia.

Hazrat Gul enlisted on 20th November 1896 and was commissioned in the field as a Jemadar on 8th March 1915 being mentioned in despatches in the London Gazette of 18th June 1915 whilst serving as a Havildar attached to 57th Rifles. He would be promoted to Subedar on 13th October 1915 and by 1920 he would be serving with the 1st Battalion of his regiment, retiring prior to April 1921. He was re-employed and awarded the Order of British India, Second Class a Subedar Major of the Kurram Militia on 2nd January 1926.
For his pre Great War service he had been awarded an India General Service Medal 1895-1902, 2 Clasps: Punjab Frontier 1897-98 and Waziristan 1901-1902, an India General Service Medal 1908-1935, 1 Clasp: North West Frontier 1908 as well as a Coronation Medal 1903.
