George Harrison Rayner Goldie was born in Swansea in 1893 and would see service with 1st/7th Battalion, Royal Highlanders (The Black Watch) – Territorial Force. He was awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette of 27th August 1918 for bravery in France. This award was most likely for an act during the German Spring Offensive.
He would be discharged on 8th November 1919.
