James Bull joined D Division (Warrant No. 78263) of the Metropolitan Police at Marylebone on 30th January 1893, and would be serving at the time of the 1897 Jubilee, 1902 Coronation and the 1911 Coronation before being pensioned from on 3rd October 1921.
