Kimberley Star 1899-1900, hallmarks for Birmingham with date letter ‘a’ for 1900, complete with original ribbon and silver suspension but with the top bar missing.

The Mayor and Council of Kimberley awarded this medal to the defenders of Kimberley, a mining town, which was besieged by Boer forces between 14th October 1899 and 15th February 1900.
