These both affixed to a Ministry of War Decree Certificate inscribed to Soldate (Soldiers) Nicola si (and) Luigi Della-Rovere who were entitled to bear the medal awarded for the War of 1915-1918, namely the Commemorative Medal for the War of 1915-1918. This document was issued at Roma on 11th July 1922.

The Commemorative Medal for the War of 1915-1918 was instituted on 29 July 1920 and, since the war, primarily with Austria, of 1915 to 1918 was regarded as a continuation of the Risorgimento (unification of Italy). The Inter-Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918 was awarded to Italian participants in World War I.
