The Casale division was deployed to the Albanian-Greek border in March 1941. During the final April push, they pierced Greek lines along the Drinos Valley and advanced into Greek territory. Following the Greek surrender, the division remained in Greece on anti-partisan occupation duty until it was dissolved in September 1943 following the Italian Armistice
