Eire, United Nations Peace Keepers Medal, the obverse featuring a female figure representative of Éire standing on a shoreline releasing a dove over the sea. The dove holds an olive spray in its beak and on the horizon is a skein of wild geese. The reverse with the legend UNITED NATIONS FOR PEACE in Irish and English.

Introduced in 1989, it was awarded to Permanent Defence Force Members in respect of service with a United Nations mission. The medal can be awarded only once to any one person.
