John Graeme Cormack joined he Army on 26th January 2004 and initially served as a Private, before being posted as a Trooper (No. 25179904) with the Royal Armoured Corps on 26th September 2004, subsequently serving in Iraq as part of Op Telic with the Scots Dragoon Guards.
Promoted to Lance Corporal on 18th February 2008 and subsequently to Corporal on 18th January 2012 he would be present during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations during 2012 before his discharge on 12th October 2013.
Cormack completed a large number of competencies, many related to fitness or tending to battlefield casualties but of particular note is the competency of being a Crewman Gunner who was 20mm Sabre trained, as well as being a Basic Signaller Armoured Operator.
