India Punjab Frontier and South Africa Boer War pair awarded to Private R. Pinyoun, Royal Sussex Regiment, who saw service with the 2nd Battalion out in India, being present during the operations on the Punjab Frontier and with the Tirah Expeditionary Force between 1897 to 1898. Having transferred to the 1st Battalion, he saw service during the Boer War in South Africa, being present on operations in the Orange Free State and the Transvaal during 1902.

Having transferred to the 1st Battalion, he saw service during the Boer War in South Africa, being present on operations in the Orange Free State and the Transvaal during 1902. He was subsequently transferred to the Army Reserve.
