India North West Frontier Red Shirt Rebellion, Second World War North West Europe and Police Special Constabulary long service group awarded to Gunner R.H. Murfitt, Royal Artillery, who originally enlisted into the Territorial Army in November 1924, and then re-enlisted into the Regular Army in October 1928. He saw service during the Red Shirt Rebellion on the North West Frontier of India in the period from 23rd April 1930 to 22nd March 1931, and went on to see service during the Second World War during the campaign in North West Europe, before returning to Nottingham where he became a Special Constable with the Police Special Constabulary.

Reginald Henry Murfitt was born in Barnsbury, London, and having worked as a compositor, then attested for service with the Territorial Army at Northampton on 14th November 1924, joining as a Gunner (No.7877274) the Royal Artillery. Having then re-enlisted into the Regular Army on 20th October 1928, he went on to see service during the Red Shirt Rebellion on the North West Frontier of India in the period from 23rd April 1930 to 22nd March 1931, and went on to see service during the Second World War during the campaign in North West Europe. Murfitt who lived in Northampton, went on to see service post war as a Special Constable with the Police Special Constabulary.
