Partridge, 1st Battalion, Devonshire Regiment who was present on the operations in Punjab Frontier which lasted from 10th June 1897 to 6h April 1898 as well as on the operations with the Tirah Field Force and would later see service during the Boer War in South Africa.

William Partridge was born at Axminster, Devon, and giving his trade as Labourer joined at Exeter on 30th October 1889 and would go on to see service during the Punjab Frontier operations which lasted from 10th June 1897 to 6th April 1898 as well as the operations with the Tirah Field Force and would later see service during the Boer War in South Africa being present during the Relief of Ladysmith and then at the actions at Belfast and at Elandslaagte. He would be discharged at Exeter on 8th December 1902.
