Harry Manning saw service as a Private later Lance Corporal (No.11684) with the 8th Service Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, and was present out on the Western Front from 10th September 1915. Manning died of wounds on 5th November 1915, and is buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension. Aged 25 at the time of his death, he was the son of Harry and Annie Manning, of “Summerpit”, Elvedon, Thetford, Norfolk.
