Stanley William Affleck saw service as a Private (No. 1203) with the 17th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers on the Western Front from 17th November 1915 and who would subsequently be killed in action on 25th April 1916, aged 19 years old. He is now buried in the Tranchee De Mecknes Cemetery, Aix-Noulette and is noted as the son of the late William Morton Affleck and Marion Katherine Affleck of London.
