Arthur Sugden was born in Bradley, Yorkshire and enlisted in Huddersfield before going on to see service as a Private (No. 242385) with the 1st/6th Battalion, West Riding Regiment. He died of wounds on 15th April 1918 during the German Spring Offensive and is now buried in Haringhe (Bandaghem) Military Cemetery and is additionally noted as the son of Emma Sugden of 1249 Leeds Road, Bradley, Huddersfield.
