Harry Patrick was born in St. Pauls, Cheltenham, the son of John and Sarah Patrick of Barnyard, Grove Street, Cheltenham. He was a regular soldier who had enlisted into the 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment in Cheltenham in June 1914 and went to France on 19th August 1914.
Wounded at the battle of the Aisne in September he would be evacuated to England where he died in Netley Military Hospital, Hampshire on the 2nd December 1914, he is now buried in Netley Military Cemetery.
