Great War Western Front and Urban and Rural District Council Clerks confirmed Jubilee 1935, Coronation 1937, and Coronation 1953 group awarded to Private A. Lancashire, 1st Battalion, Liverpool Regiment, later a Clerk for Saddleworth Urban District Council near to Oldham in Lancashire circa 1935, followed by Barnet Rural District Council in Hertfordshire circa 1937, and Elstree Rural District Council in Hertfordshire circa 1953.

Together with the recipients matching group of miniature medals, mounted swing style as worn, and also the recipient’s tunic medal ribbon bar for the first four awards.
Arthur Lancashire saw service as a Private (No.90891) with the 1st Battalion, Liverpool Regiment, during the Great War, when present out on the Western Front as part of the 6th Brigade in the 2nd Division. Post-war he worked as a clerk for various Urban and Rural District Councils, and was awarded the Jubilee Medal 1935 whilst with Saddleworth Council near to Oldham in Lancashire. He had however moved to Barnet Rural District Council in Hertfordshire when he was awarded the Coronation Medal 1937, and was ultimately with the Elstree Rural District Council in Hertfordshire when he was awarded the Coronation Medal 1953.
