Alfred Newport Platt at the time of the 1891 census was noted as aged 3 and living in Ollershaw Lane, Marston, Northwich, Cheshire, England and saw service as a Private (No. 1389) with the Lancashire Hussars Yeomanry on the Western Front from 9th November 1915 and later served as a Private (No. 300580) with the Liverpool Regiment and would survive the war to be demobilised
