Jackson, Royal Air Force, late a Private in the South Staffordshire Regiment who had seen service on the Western Front from 5th March 1915 before being commissioned into the 15th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 12th November 1915, before transferring to the Royal Air Force. He would continue to serve after the Great War, being present as a Flying Officer with the Royal Air Force in India during the operations in Waziristan which lasted from 1919-1924, initially serving with 99 Squadron

Cecil Jackson from Llandudno, North Wales initially saw service as a Private (No. 8834) with the South Staffordshire Regiment during the Great War, where he would see service on the Western Front from 5th March 1915 onwards. He would subsequently be commissioned into the 15th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 12th November 1915, and finally would be transferred into the Royal Air Force.
Jackson would continue to serve with the Royal Air Force after the war and would be present out in India in Waziristan during the operations which lasted from 1919 to 1924 initially with 99 Squadron, a bomber squadron.
He would then be transferred to Class A Reserve as a Flight Lieutenant on 27th August 1926, and from Class A to Class C Reserve on 7th September 1928. Granted an extension of 3 years in Class C on 23rd August 1933, he would relinquish his commission due to ill health on 28th April 1936.
