Great War Prisoner of War’s Mons Trio and Army Long Service and Good Conduct group awarded to Private F. Knight, 1st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, later 2nd and 4th Battalions, Middlesex Regiment who saw service on the Western Front from 11th August 1914. Having been admitted to hospital with sore feet, he would recover and return to the frontline being confirmed as a Prisoner of War in German hands on 13th February 1916 having been captured with the 4th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. He would survive the war to be repatriated.

Frank Knight saw service as a Private (No. L/10665) with the 1st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment on the Western Front from 11th August 1914 and was admitted to the Hospital Ship Oxfordshire on 13th March 1915 with sore feet whilst serving with 2nd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. Returning to the frontline he would be taken prisoner of war whilst serving with 4th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, this being confirmed on a German Government casualty list on 13th February 1916.
Knight would survive the war and would arrive back in England on 13th February 1919.
