Great War Prisoner of War’s 1914 Star trio awarded to Lance Corporal G.E. Holmes, 1st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment who saw service on the Western Front from 22nd August 1914, and was reported missing in The Birmingham Daily Post on the 2nd January 1915 having been taken prisoner on the 25th November 1914.

George E. Holmes saw service as a Lance Corporal (No. L-12444) with the 1st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment on the Western Front from 22nd August 1914, he was reported missing in The Birmingham Daily Post, 2nd January 1915 having been taken prisoner on the 25th November 1914, and was later discharged with a Silver War Badge.
