Great War period Royal Navy original full length naval cap tally for the light cruiser H.M.S. Cardiff. Formerly the property of Chief Petty Officer Telegraphist W.I. Tickle, Royal Navy, who was a veteran of the Battle of Jutland when he survived the sinking of the Warrior, the Second Battle of Heligoland Bight, and the Greco-Turkish War. He saw service aboard Cardiff during March 1918 to March 1919 in which period, on 21 November 1918, she had the honour of leading the German High Seas Fleet to the Firth of Forth to be interned.
Condition: fair condition for age.
