William J. Hurditch was born in Exeter in 1885 and later saw service as a Serjeant (No. 7DG/6753) with the 7th Dragoon Guards and later with the Corps of Dragoons (No. D/20539) during the Great War. He would serve as a Captain with the 21st City of London Battalion, Home Guard during the Second World War. He would be awarded the Imperial Service Medal in the London Gazette of 16th November 1945 for his work as a Skilled Workman Class I, London Telecommunications Region.
William J. Hurditch died in Islington in 1959.
