Clarence Ernest Nunn was born in Haywards Heath, Sussex on 30th January 1900, and giving his trade as a plumber’s mate saw service as a Boy 2nd Class from 1st August 1917, before formally joining the Royal Navy for the duration of hostilities on 30th January 1918 when he would receive the rank of Ordinary Seaman.
He would be demobilised ashore on 1st March 1919 and his papers state he saw Second World War service from 1st June 1943 (No. P/JX.502588).
