Great War pair awarded to 1st Class Air Mechanic F.R. Hill, Royal Air Force who joined the Royal Flying Corps on 2nd December 1915 and would see service in Italy from 24th November 1917 to 25th February 1919 later being transferred to the Royal Air Force Reserve on 4th April 1919.

Frederick Rowland Hill joined the Royal Flying Corps on 2nd December 1915 and would see service as an Air Mechanic (No. 16107), later serving in Italy from 24th November 1917 to 25th February 1919 later be transferred to the Royal Air Force Reserve on 4th April 1919.
