Great War pair and Imperial Service Medal awarded to 2nd Class Air Mechanic J.C. Robson, Royal Air Force who having qualified as a Wireless Operator served in France from 18th July 1917 with various squadrons on Artillery spotting duties. After being demobilised in January 1919 he would later be employed by the Post Office being awarded an Imperial Service Medal in the London Gazette of 25th September 1959 for his work as an overseer in the London Postal Region.

John Charles Robson was from Tottenham and joined the Royal Flying Corps in February 1917, qualifying as a Wireless Operator he served in France from 18th July 1917 with 8 Squadron, 186 Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, 9th Divisional Artillery, 3 Squadron, 35 Squadron and 5 Squadron on Artillery spotting duties. Demobilised in January 1919. He would later work in the Post Office being awarded the Imperial Service Medal in the London Gazette of 25th September 1959 for his work as on Overseer in the London Postal Region.
