This officer was commissioned towards the very end of the war, and his first name remains unknown, with no Medal Index Card found as of yet, however there is only one 2nd Lieutenant A. Hicks, and officer with the Royal Garrison Artillery, who is shown as having claimed both the British War Medal and Victory Medal in November 1921, his full entitlement. This same officer is shown as having been promoted to Lieutenant back on 1 June 1919, and to have then relinquished his commission on 1 April 1920.
