Hyde, Royal Garrison Artillery, who came from Cropthorne, Worcester, and saw service during the war out in Mesopotamia with the 134th Trench Mortar Battery, being killed in action on 26 January 1917.

As used by William George Hyde, who was born and lived in Cropthorne, Worcester, and enlisted into the British Army at Pershore, Worcestershire, and saw service as a Gunner (No.91699) with the Royal Garrison Artillery. During the Great War he saw service out in Mesopotamia with the 134th Trench Mortar Battery, and was killed in action on 26 January 1917. Hyde is buried in Amara War Cemetery, Iraq.
