Charles Scander Brough was born in Alexandria in 1869 and at the time of the 1901 census was registered as living at 96 Lansdown Road, Sundridge Park, Bromley, Kent and by 1911 was living at 207 Shooters Hill Road, Blackheath and died on 20th April 1959 leaving just over £50,000, a significant sum for the time, and now equivalent to nearly £1.5m.
