Cecil Herbert Newton joined the Royal Flying Corps as a Cadet on 18th July 1917 and would be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on the 30th November 1917 and would be killed in a flying accident whilst flying an RE8 from Stamford Air Station on 11th March 1918 and is buried in Putney Vale Cemetery and Crematorium. He is noted as a native of Wandsworth.
