Harry Gibson Brough was born in Bury, Lancashire and was living in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, U.S.A. when he enlisted into the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Having travelled to the Western Front as served as a Lance Corporal (No. WR/601681) with the 222nd Transportation Works Company, Royal Engineers he died on 29th November 1918 and is now buried in Les Baraques Military Cemetery, Sangatte. He is noted as the son of John and Grace Brough of Bury, Lancashire.
