Great War Memorial Plaque awarded to Private David Hugh Lockhart Niven Graham, 11th Battalion, Royal Scots, late of the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry and King’s Own Scottish Borderers who was killed in action on 9th April 1917 and is now buried in Point-du-Jour Military Cemetery.

David Hugh Lockhart Niven Graham was born in Leith and attested initially for the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry at Kirkcaldy, Fifeshire, serving with them during the Great War initially in East Africa, Nyasaland, and Northern Rhodesia from 7 September 1915. Transferring first to the King’s Own Scottish Borderers, and then to the Royal Scots, he saw further service as a Private with the 11th Battalion, Royal Scots, on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 9 April 1917. He is buried in Point-du-Jour Military Cemetery, Athies, France.
