George Frederick Victor Murkin a resident of Holloway, saw service as a Lance Corporal (No. 704020) with the 2nd/23rd Battalion, London Regiment formerly with 9th Battalion, London Regiment and was killed in action on 3rd October 1918 aged 22. Noted as the son of George Joseph and Florence Emily Murkin he is now buried in Wulvergham-Lindenhoek Road Military Cemetery.
