Great War medals to brothers, both of whom were killed in action on the Western Front, consisting of a 1914-15 Star and Victory Medal pair to Private Albert Cordeaux who was serving in the 6th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment when he was killed on 19 April 1916, together with a British War Medal to his older brother, Arthur William Cordeaux, who was serving with the 17th (Poplar and Stepney Rifles) Battalion, The London Regiment when he was killed on 24th August 1918.

Albert and Arthur William Cordeaux were the second and third sons of Frederick Cordeaux of Bermondsey, London.
Albert Cordeaux embarked for service in France on 25 July 1915 and was serving with the 6th Battalion, Berkshire Regiment on 19 April 1916. He was 23 and is interred in the Cerisy_Gailly Cemetery, Somme France.
Arthur William Cordeaux embarked for service in France after 1 Jan 1916 with the 17th (Poplar and Stepney Rifles) Battalion, The London Regiment and was killed in action on 24 Aug 1918. He was 34 and is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial, PAs de Calais, France.
