Harry Taylor was born and enlisted in Manchester and served as a Private (No. 24791) with the 11th Battalion, Manchester Regiment at Gallipoli from 9th September 1915 and was killed in action on 14th September 1915 and would be killed in action on 14th September 1915. Having no known grave he is remembered on the Helles Memorial.
Taylor had previously worked as a Carter in the Patricroft Goods Department of the London and North Western Railway. His name was noted in the St Paul’s Cathedral Order of Service 1919 and in the London North Western Railway Gazette of 4th December 1915.
