Edward Foy came from Dundee, Scotland, and having enlisted at Invergordon, then saw service during the Great War as a Driver (No.84402) with the Royal Field Artillery, being present out at Gallipoli from 30th July 1915 with “A” Battery, 59th Brigade, he was killed in action there during the Battle of Lone Pine on 10th August 1915, being buried in Lala Baba Cemetery.
