Great War Gallipoli and later Egypt 1914-1915 Star trio awarded to Private F. Griffen, 2nd/4th Battalion, The Queen’s Regiment who arrived in the Middle East on 30th July 1915, subsequently landing at Gallipoli with the 2/4th Battalion, The Queen’s Regiment on 9th August 1915. He would later serve in Egypt and would suffer a gun shot wound the to the foot and thigh on 8th December 1917, later transferring to the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1918 with whom he would serve as a Corporal.

Frank Griffen saw service as a Private (No. 3291) with The Queen’s Regiment at Gallipoli where he would have arrived in the Middle East on 17th July 1915, with his battalion, 2/4th Battalion, The Queen’s Regiment landing at Gallipoli on 9th August 1915. He would subsequently serve in Egypt and would suffer a gun shot wound to the foot and thigh , transferring to the Royal Air Force on 1st April 1918 remaining in Egypt and serving as a Corporal (No. 302410) there until 28th May 1919.
