Edwin A. Clark saw service during the Great War initially as a Private (No.2830) with the 4th City of London Battalion, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers), and was present out in Egypt from 20th March 1915, being then transferred as a Sergeant (No.WR-193513) to the Royal Engineers before being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the General List on 18th October 1918. Clark died prior to claiming his medals, and they were claimed by his widow, who lived in Addiscombe, Surrey.
