Great War casualty trio awarded to Sapper H.P. Adcock, Royal Marines who most likely a regular sailor joined an engineering unit of the Royal Naval Division in September 1914. He took part in the landings at Gallipoli, on Anzac Beach on 28th-29th April 1915, taken ill on the mainland, he later died of typhoid on the island of Lemnos on 26th June 1915.

Hubert Percy Adcock was born in Islington, London on 19th Dcember 1891, the son of Hubert and Fanny Adcock later of 2 Conderton Villas, Hales Road, Cheltenham. He was probably a regular sailor and joined an engineering unit of the Royal Naval Division in September 1914. He took part in the landings at Gallipoli, going ashore at Anzac Beach on the 28th-29th April 1915, taken ill on the mainland, he was evacuated to the Island of Lemnos in the Aegean Sea where he died of typhoid on the 26th June. He left a widow, Ethel Kate Adcock (nee Pratt) of Cumberland Lodge, Stonebridge Park, Willesdon, London.
In his will, where his date of death is given as the 15th June 1915, he left his entire estate valued at £282.12.6d to his widow. Private Adcock is buried at East Mudros Military Cemetery, Lemnos.
