Percy Charles Lambert was born in Peckham, Surrey and lived at Dulwich, Kent and enlisted in London and saw service as a Private (No. R/12655) with the 9th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps on the Western Front from 3rd September 1915. He would subsequently be killed in action on 15th September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme and having no known grave is now remembered on the Thiepval Memorial, and is noted as the son of Mr. P.G. and Mrs I.A. Lambert of 203A Dunstans Road, East Dulwich, London.
