He would later be commissioned on 30th October 1917 seeing service with the 10th (County of London) Battalion (Hackney), London Regiment.

He would be commissioned on 30th October 1917 later seeing service with the 10th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment where he would finish with the rank of Captain.
