Great War 1914 Star trio awarded to Private V.G. Milton, Indian Cavalry Supply Column, Army Service Corps who saw service on the Western Front from 22nd November 1914, thus qualifying for the 1914 Star on the last possible date. He would then serve in East Africa with Motor Transport, Army Service Corps.

Victor Gerald Milton was born in Newcastle, Staffordshire on 19th March 1886 and saw service in South Africa during the Boer War as a Boy Soldier, he would later serve during the Great War where he arrived in France on 22nd November 1914, the last day of qualification of the 1914 Star and saw service as a Private (No. M1-7330) with the Indian Cavalry Supply Column, Army Service Corps. From his Identity bracelet it also evident that at some stage he saw service in East Africa as part of the Motor Transport units of the Army Service Corps. After the war he would travel to the United States arriving back in Liverpool on 22nd January 1921.
He would survive the war, and would pass away on 7th March 1953 in Kings College Hospital, London.
