Ivor Charles Davis was born in Cardiff, Wales, resided in Richmond, Surrey and would see service as a Private (No. 3888) in the 1st Battalion, Rifle Brigade on the Western Front from 23rd August 1914 being killed in action on 8th November 1914 and buried in the Le Touquet Railway Crossing Cemetery. He is noted as the son of Charles and Alicia Davis of 48 Gladstone Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth.
