Great War 1914 Old Contemptible’s long service group awarded to Sergeant S.E. Cocker, 1st later 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade, who was present out on the Western Front with the 1st Battalion from 23rd August 1914. Cocker subsequently saw service with the 2nd Battalion out in India post-war.

Stanley Cocker was a pre-war regular soldier who saw service as a Rifleman later Sergeant (No.2504 later No.6905233) with the 1st Battalion, Rifle Brigade, and was present out on the Western Front from 23rd August 1914. Cocker subsequently saw service with the 2nd Battalion out in India post-war. He claimed the Clasp and Roses to his 1914 Star in June 1920.
