Great War 1914-1915 Star trio and Royal Fleet Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal group awarded to Stoker 1st Class T.H. Bryant, Royal Navy who saw Great War service aboard HMS Challenger off both the East and West coasts of Africa.

Thomas Henry Bryant was born in Bristol, Gloucestershire and giving his trade as a Labourer joined the Royal Navy for 5 years service on 14th July 1908, serving initially as a Stoker 2nd Class with Vivid II. He would then serve aboard HMS Donegal from 1st November 1908 until 19th January 1909 subsequently transferring to HMS Argyll and being promoted Stoker 1st Class on 19th September 1909.
From Argyll he would return ashore to Vivid II on 13th May 1911, and was then posted to Mars on 31st May 1911 until 1st January 1912. A stint on Orion followed from 2nd January 1912 until 30th June 1913 when he would return ashore to Vivid II to be transferred to the Royal Fleet Reserve on 12th July 1913.
He would be recalled on the outbreak of war, serving aboard Challenger from 2nd August until 11th January 1918 which saw service off both the East and West Coast of Africa during the Great War. He would be promoted Acting Leading Stoker on 2nd September 1917. He would then be transferred ashore to Vivid I until 15th September 1918 when he would serve with Aquitania until 9th January 1919, he would then return to Vivid II on 10th January to 15th February 1919, he would be demobilised ashore on this date, before later returning to the Royal Fleet Reserve with whom he would serve from 11th April 1921 to 8th June 1921 before once again being demobilised
