Arthur Cort was born in Market Harborough and lived in Little Bowden before enlisting and seeing service as a Private (No. 2651) in the Leicestershire Yeomanry and later as a Private (No. 255553) with the Corps of Hussars on the Western Front from 16th February 1915, he would survive to be disembodied on 10th April 1919.
