Germany - Weimar: Cross of Honour of the German Red Cross.
A Cross of Honour, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular white enameled ring, bearing a central black enameled DRK-style German national eagle clutching a gilt wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a pebbled finish bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DAS DEUTSCHE ROTE KREUZ” (“FOR MERIT IN THE GERMAN RED CROSS”), unmarked, measuring 38.27 mm in diameter, weighing 17.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon).
