From 1941 to 1945, the Flugmotorenwerke Ostmark was a branch of the Junkers - and later the Daimler-Benz -Werke. With Wiener Neudorf (then Greater Vienna ), Marburg an der Drau (Maribor) and Brünn (Brno), they had three production sites for aircraft engines and parts, which from 1944 also included Dubnitz an der Waag (today Dubnica nad Váhom ) in of Slovakia is to be counted. The area of the works in Wiener Neudorf also included parts of the Lower Austrian communities of Biedermannsdorf , Guntramsdorf and Laxenburg.
