Germany - Third Reich: Luftwaffe Glider Pilot Badge, late war zinc form, no makers marks, fitted with steel needle pin and fittings. A very good example of type. Scarce.

The Luftwaffe Glider Pilot Badge was awarded to military pilot's who were members of the German Air Force after they completed their glider training. Honorably discharged personnel who met the requirements could also be awarded the badge. A citation was issued with the awarded badge. The badge was approved in 1940 and first issued in 1942.
