Germany - Third Reich: German Navy Kriegsmarine Tellermütze Sailor’s Combined Cap Eagle and Cockade insignia. The cockade, which itself is of two part construction, is correctly affixed to the eagle through the looping of its two outer retaining pins. Both parts are produced in non-magnetic zinc, the eagle with a gilt wash, the cockade with a blackened frilled back, and with a central red painted roundel. No makers marks. A superb example of type.
Condition: the wash finish very good, light wear, overall Good Very Fine or better.
